"Thousand-Year-Old Mykolay" is a novel with unusual subject. It is story-flashback of man which lived over ten ages — from times of prince Volodymyr to our days is not alone life, each time as though dying and again giving birth, and always with the name of Mykolay. There was he by the combatant of prince Volodymyr, rode with his messengers to Byzantium, and together with fiancee of prince, Romans princes Anna, brought a new faith to Rus. With the cossack embassy of Bohdan Khmel'nytsky inok of Mykolay Nesmiyanovskiy, that known in various sciences, arrived to Moscow, where in the Remarkable monastery was in charge of old and new books. In the XX Century Mykolay Smiyan survived holodomor of 33th, he passed a young lieutenant by the bloody roads of World War II, and in a peace-time became a scientist-agriculturist. In the second part the novel of event take place in post-war time.
