The Honoured National Bandurist Capella is a valuable achievement and unique treasure of the Ukrainian folk-cultural heritage. It has dedicated its creative work to the rebirth and dissemination of Ukrainian song and folk instrumentals. The bandura is the most beloved instrument of Ukraine, and symbol of the spirit and pride of the Ukrainian culture. In the capella, all of the performers sing and play the bandura. Their repertoire consists of over 500 works in various styles and genres. This includes historical, kozak and chumak songs, ancient dumy, humorous songs, Ukrainian and Western classics. Their excellent choral singing to the accompaniment of the delicate, silvery timbre of banduras, along with the theatrical treatment of each song, creates an unforgettable impression. It captures the hearts and souls of all those, who ever experienced the source of Ukrainian song, as heard in the renditions by the National Bandurist Capella of Ukraine.
