Film is based on a historical sketch of Roman Koval "Michael Havrilko : By Bayonet And a Sword." It tells about sculptor, Sichovyj Strilets, Army Chief of Staff Gray UPR rebel chieftain Michael Havrilko.
The film uses documentary chronicling World War I, unique photographs and interviews with experts in producing scenes footage films and documentaries.
Events unfolding in Poltava,  Myrhorod, St. Petersburg, Kyiv, Lviv, Bolekhiv, Krakow, Paris, Freistadt and in  Cossack Village, the birthplace of Michael Havrilko.
